Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy

Fine Polish wants customers to be happy with their purchase. This Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy explains how returns are handled for purchases made through www.finepolish.com.au.

This policy applies to products purchased directly from Fine Polish.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this Returns Policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

Please contact us as soon as possible if:

  • the item you received is faulty

  • the item was damaged in transit

  • the item is not as described

  • you received the wrong item

  • an item is missing from your order

Please email info@finepolish.com.au with:

  • your order number

  • your name and contact details

  • a description of the issue

  • photos or video showing the issue, where relevant

  • photos of the packaging if the item was damaged during delivery

Once we review the issue, we will advise the next steps. Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, the remedy may include a repair, replacement, refund, store credit or other suitable resolution.

3. Damaged items during delivery

If your order arrives damaged, please keep the item, packaging, labels and delivery materials. These may be required to assess the issue or lodge a claim with the carrier.

Please contact us promptly at info@finepolish.com.au with photos of the damaged item and packaging.

4. Change of mind returns

We may accept change of mind returns at our discretion, provided that:

  • you contact us within 14 days of receiving your order

  • the item is unused, unopened and in resaleable condition

  • the item is returned in its original packaging where possible

  • proof of purchase is provided

  • the product is not excluded from change of mind returns

Change of mind returns must be approved by Fine Polish before the item is sent back.

Customers are responsible for return postage costs for approved change of mind returns. Original shipping charges are not refundable for change of mind returns unless required by law.

5. Products not suitable for change of mind returns

For hygiene, safety, product integrity or resale reasons, we may not accept change of mind returns for:

  • opened or used cleaning, polishing or home care products

  • liquids, creams, pastes, powders or compounds that have been opened

  • items that have been damaged after delivery

  • items missing packaging, parts, seals, labels or instructions

  • special order, clearance or discontinued products, unless required by law

  • gift cards, if offered

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if the product is faulty, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

6. Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong item and would like to exchange it, please contact us at info@finepolish.com.au.

Approved exchanges are subject to product availability. The customer is responsible for return postage and any difference in product price or shipping costs, unless the exchange is required because of an error by Fine Polish or because the product does not meet a consumer guarantee.

7. Return postage

For approved change of mind returns, the customer is responsible for return postage costs.

Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, incorrectly supplied, not as described or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, Fine Polish will provide a remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. This may include covering reasonable return postage where required.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

8. Proof of purchase

To process a return, refund or exchange, we may ask for proof of purchase, such as:

  • order number

  • tax invoice

  • receipt

  • confirmation email

  • payment record

9. Assessment of returned products

Returned products may be inspected before a refund, replacement, repair or exchange is approved.

If the product is found not to be faulty, or the issue was caused by misuse, incorrect use, neglect, normal wear and tear, accidental damage or failure to follow product instructions, we may refuse the return or charge return shipping costs.

10. Refunds

Approved refunds will usually be processed back to the original payment method used for the order.

Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank, card provider or payment service.

Shipping charges may not be refundable for change of mind returns, unless required by law.

11. Order cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as quickly as possible at info@finepolish.com.au or 1800 780 666.

If the order has not yet been packed or shipped, we will do our best to cancel it and process a refund.

If the order has already been shipped, you may need to follow the returns process once the order has been delivered.

Please ensure returned items are packed securely. We recommend using tracked postage, as Fine Polish is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit unless required by law.
